Motivation: Ruby grew up in an area controlled by the Soviets. She knew
 nothing but rigidity in her life, and when she was sent to GPMC she 
knew she had to do something to protest her upbringing. Barely managing
 to survive, she left and joined up with the Warriors of Light. She 
might not be their most dedicated member, but as long as she shows no 
signs of switching signs that doesn't matter much to them.

it in a ponytail)

Other: Always wearing four dangling earrings (two on each ear) with her
 four primary gemstones (ruby and sapphire on her left ear and emerald

amythest, an indicolite (indigo tourmaline), a smokey quartz, a tiger's 
eye, a gold zircon, and a transparent quartz in a circular pattern.

Personality

Basics of personality: Although poised and elegent, Ruby is quite stuck 
up. She's a seductress of sorts who hates to be shot down. She dislikes 
being told what to do, and if you order her around for too long you're 
just asking for trouble. However, if you befriend her she is fiercely 
loyal. She may not like it sometimes, but she always puts her friends 
before her own well-being. But just because she'll die for you doesn't 
mean she'll be civil to you.
Strengths: Loyal, independent, charming, and graceful.
Weaknesses: Egotistical, man-eating, rude, and generally not all that 
friendly.
Hobbies and likes: Jewelry and other "pretty things", men, herself
Dislikes: People who know about her past (and threaten to discuss it 
with people in her current life), GPMC and her experiences there, 
taking orders and working in a team.

Background
__________

History: Ruby hasn't always been the confident woman she is today. In 
fact, until after she left GPMC she wasn't a woman at all. Ruby was 
born Ivan Petruso, a self-concious boy in the shadow of his identical 
twin brother. Ivan never could please his parents, and most of all, he 
couldn't please himself. When his mage abilities began to surface at 
the age of 15 his parents sent him to the only mage school that would 
accept him, even if it was in the heart of "enemy territory". Ivan just
 barely survived, and after escaping he began to do some serious soul 
searching and decided the root of his problems were that he didn't 
identify himself as a male. He got a sex change and became Ruby, and 
along with that identity a clean slate. Ruby was free of Ivan's past 
and all of his ties, and more importantly, she was free of all of his 
insecurities. Although a member of the Warriors of Light, Ruby is also 
a teacher at VAMU, both things that happened shortly after she 
completed her sex change. While the precise details of how she found 
about about the Warriors of Light are unknown, what is known is she all
 but forced her way in.
Family:
Mr. and Mrs. Petruso: You won't hear much about the Petruso parents. In
 their eyes Ruby disappeared and in Ruby's eyes she is dead to them. 
Even her brother doesn't have that much to do with them. All that is 
known is they are fiercely loyal to the former Soviet government and 
they wanted both of their sons to work on the government's behalf.
Hadeon Petruso: Ruby's identical twin brother (takes people a moment to 
figure that one out). Although he doesn't agree with his parents' 
ideals, he still values order and works for the Canadian government.
Friends: None, really. Just a long line of one-night stands.
