Abilities: As a member of the Yumenai (nicknamed "Dream Eaters"), is cursed to never dream. Instead he survives by slowly leeching off the dreams of others. He is also deceptively young and innocent looking, and carries a folded up staff, which he can either unfold and use as a staff or unhinge and use as a type of whip.

For Lace, a lot of his image seems to hinge on him looking young, pretty, and innocent. Often posing as a fourteen or fifteen year old girl, he blends into the crowd and slowly feeds off the dreams of others, taking forgotten one-time dreams first from people (if he's around someone for too long he starts to take their more important dreams, however). However, while he often poses as someone who is young, innocent, and naïve, you'd best not think him as such: not that far below the surface is a keen intelligence and a cold nature to rival that of any seasoned warrior. As the oldest of twelve sons, he is the head of the Yumenai family and agreed to work for Ishida Yukio with the promise that the curse will be removed from his family (one of the tasks of the Yumenai family leader is to try to remove the curse in their lifetime). Although he enjoys picking on him, Lace cares a lot for his partner, Leather, and secretly does his best to protect him.
