At first you are tempted to feel sorry for Breda. She was fired by Wilhelm and then locked in her dungeon for a month for standing up to her on Solomon's behalf, and then was released from the dungeon but not told the way back out. She is also willing to help our heroes in any way that she can in the hopes of finding the exit. But people also have to remember one thing: Breda is Wilhelm's old friend. She knew what Wilhelm had done to all of her husbands, and she knew what she was doing to her son. Her one act of courage and selflessness hardly makes up for several years of accepting or ignoring Wilhelm's horrible deeds. One also has to remember that Breda isn't your average, run-of-the-mill nanny: she is a violent knife-fighter who dislikes being annoyed. If you get on her nerves she has no qualms with putting a knife in your throat. Breda is someone you definately have to tread lightly with.
